In a proactive step towards addressing healthcare disparities in remote tribal areas, The Josh Foundation in Jimalgatta has conducted Medical and De-addiction counselling Camp in Yenakaband, a tribal village situated in the Aheri taluka of Gadchiroli district.
The foundation organized a medical and addiction camp as part of its ongoing mission to extend crucial healthcare facilities to marginalized communities. Dr. Sangita Medi and Dr. Satish Borkut, eminent medical professionals associated with the foundation, led the camp and provided medical assistance and counseling to approximately 50 patients from the village.
Yenakaband, like many other tribal villages, faces significant challenges in accessing adequate healthcare facilities and combating addiction-related issues. The camp organized by the Josh Foundation aimed to bridge this gap by offering specialized medical care and addressing addiction concerns prevalent among the villagers.
